Beware Of The Seducing Spirits
I know I might catch plenty of flack for this sketch, but so be it as I feel it is the absolute truth! You know when you read my writing; I am going to tell it like it is! Satan doesn’t have to go out to the street corners and alleyways to get the drunkard; he already has them ‘because he has destroyed their productive life by having them chase that next alcoholic buzz! The gambler courts Satan every time he takes his rent/mortgage to go for that next bet. He doesn’t have to convince the adulterer to come his way; he already has him/her caught up in the next forbidden stolen booty call!
So where does that leave the devil to coax new victims to rebel against God’s righteous way of life? The CHURCH! Why the church Scurv? Well, look at it this way, the church is a place where the people come to get spiritual healing, direction & empowerment in a world that has drained them through the demonic warfare that plagues their every step in life. This is a good thing. But although they are wise enough to know they need God’s help, they are still weak.
Let’s compare church to a hospital waiting room where many sick people arrive there for help, the hospital will help them regain their health back after their visit to the doctor, but for a time before they see the doctor, the hospital waiting room is a literal “Who’s Who” of the various germs that lurk in the community that the hospital serves. Colds, various strains of the flu, tuberculosis, A.I.D.S., all types of air born diseases etc. are there, so why should it surprise you that it can be so easy to pick up ANOTHER ailment there than the one that you walked through the door with originally?
The same goes for the church! Being physically IN the church doesn’t mean the problem that you need healing from is banished immediately; it only means that you have taken a very important step in changing your life for the better by seeking fellowship with those who are seeking God’s face. But the problem comes when we realize that many there are really not trying to rid themselves of their inner demons but are there to “straddle” the fence and live a life of denial while secretly indulging in those sweet delicious unrighteous & forbidden pleasures while parading about displaying a holy covering using the Lords name as a shield for their crap! You may fool a few for a short time, but eventually the cat will be let out of the bag! The in-house gossipers will make sure to that as they are stationed in every possible corner of your temple just WAITING like a snake in the grass to amplify ANYTHING that they might detect as juicy news with those in their private gossip network channel.
But like the hospital waiting room that has contaminated air, our churches have a spiritual air that may be laced with many unseen vices of the soul. Unhealed members who slip back into the intoxicants of lust, slothfulness, anger, greed, pride, envy and gluttony…..not only might they possess one of these ailments of the spirit, but they also might have MORE than one! With so much wickedness gone unchecked in the church, it makes it VERY EASY for satan to slip right in and take advantage of those inclement conditions and turn it around for HIS benefit! You can hear it if you hang around after the service if you listen hard enough:
“How could they have made HER sing the solo today instead of me?....She only got to do it because the Deacon wants to go to bed with her!”
“How can the Pastor afford to buy that new Mercedes-Benz when we had to struggle last month to make the mortgage payment?”
“Tell Sister Bowen that she better stop coming over to my house with those tight dresses with revealing cleavages when I ain’t home at work while my husband is there alone, everybody KNOWS she is looking for a man of her own and can’t keep her eyes off my man!”
Now I’m not attempting to paint those who are in regular attendance at the neighborhood church as scandalous individuals, but we all have weaknesses, it’s only human and it is in our basic makeup. It’s best to face our shortcomings head-on in an honest fashion instead of sweeping them under the rug only to have them visit us at the most inopportune of times. Others who are new to the worship experience or those who are returning after an extended hiatus may have their minds conditioned to expect these types of confrontations so it is imperative that we act in the best manner possible to impress upon those that we are Gods best!
You’ve heard what the non-believers say; “Those church folks are the biggest sinners out here, God knows my heart and knows I don’t have to go in that damned cesspool to get to Heaven.”
“Look at those big cars and huge houses those preachers live in while their congregation is kept poor and ignorant paying their last to keep their pimp-like pastor living well!”
Well nothing will stop those who chose to prostitute the name of God from continuing to do so, but their actions will subsidize satans efforts to keep hell in the church for HIS benefit the same way that a windy day and lots of trees will continue a deadly out of control forest fire! It’s a veritable BREEDING GROUND for stealing souls for his fiery kingdom!
Check the motivations of the members who are there. Watch everyone around you closely and never let anyone “in” your personal life without checking up on what they are about over TIME! Nothing should change as far as your outlook in the church any different than it is in the street. You think that dude in the mall who told you that you have a sweet backside and wanted to “holler at you” is more of a devil than the church brother who always sits BEHIND you in service so he can get the full view of your well endowed backside while it jiggles up and down at the beat of some holy sanctified gospel music? Same spirit, different packaging! At least the brother in the mall is to be commended for his damn honesty! You didn’t have to second guess HIS intentions!
NEVER DROP YOUR GUARD EVEN WHILE IN CHURCH AND ALWAYS TEST THE SPIRITS IN YOUR MIDST!
Just like in the hospital waiting room, you need to know that you can exit housing even more lethal spiritual ailments than when you entered in the first place because the church HAS allowed itself to become “The Devils Playground!”

I often say that life is like a double-edged sword. Sometimes when you take swipes, slices and swings at other people you can end up cutting yourself.
Recently, commentator Tavis Smiley cut himself up!
Morning radio show host Tom Joyner has announced that Tavis Smiley has quit his position as opinion commentator on the TJMS show allegedly because Tavis had been getting negative responses from African Americans regarding his comments about Presidential candidate Barack Obama.
I think Tavis had to go because Tavis got it twisted. Tavis believed the hype.
Tom Joyer’s radio show is pretty much a comedy routine and the funniest thing Joyner said after announcing Smiley’s departure was that “Tavis loved Black people”.
In fact, Tavis Smiley had very little connection to the oppressed and exploited Black masses in America and those around the world. Tavis Smiley loved America’s “Negro elite”. He loved rich Black folk like Joyner, Eric Dyson, Cornell West and other African Americans that had status with white folks and positions with white universities, white media companies and so forth.
Tavis knew that one of the best ways to get love from klansmen was to attack other Black folks. We all know that our enemies love for us to fuss and fight with each other. When Tavis decided to speak negatively about Barack Obama for a variety of reasons, his days became numbered.
You see, ninety percent of Black Americans love Bar and less than nine percent of Black Americans have undying love for Smiley.
Why is that? Well, perhaps it is because Black people can access Obama, Black people can shake Obama’s hand, Black people can email Obama and at least get a response from somebody.
Dismiss everything you’re read here and try to call Tavis Smiley. Send him an email and see if you will get a response. Speak to Tavis Smiley at the airport and see if he speaks back. Ask Smiley to consider publishing your book and see if you get more consideration from Smiley than you do from the white publishing houses.
Tavis found it easy to write about and talk about someone that the majority of Black Americans love but it was very difficult for Tavis to attack anyone Jewish. It was hard for him to criticize Cuban-Americans. And it was death defying for him to talk about corporations and CEOs that make fortunes off of the backs of poor people.
Tavis loved Wal-Mart more than he loved his own. It was easier for him to reject and ignore you than it was to ignore Wal-Mart. You can attack Black community leaders at his “State of the Black Union” meetings but the panelists there better not disparage Smiley’s white corporate sponsors.
I could go on and on about why most of us would say good riddance to Smiley but one last thing will end this for me.
Smiley was also “famous” for being on National Public Radio. Tavis was great for being on NPR but he would never acknowledge what the Blacks at NPR had to go through to get him at the public radio network. Not once would Smiley recognize the brothers and sisters like Rich Adams and Lorne Cress, sister of Frances Cress Welsing author of The Cress Theory of Color Confrontation, and all of the other Blacks that had to fuss and fight to get NPR to hire more Blacks.
Tavis Smiley believed in his own hype and had a very low estimation of the value of Black people that that had less fortunate lives than his.
Boo Hoo Boo Boo! What went around Tavis Smiley came back around.
No matter how you put it, America’s field Negroes never had everlasting love for the modern-day House Negroes, so-called N-words.
I can disagree with Barack Obama but even I know I can’t attack him for personal reasons and get away with it. Even I know Obama has at least one drop of Black blood but he is running to be President for every race, creed and color that lives in the United States and cannot be beholden to one group or the other.

Renounce & Reject Farrakhan?
Does Hillary Clinton REALLY Want To Know The Truth?
The threat of the Farrakhan Factor rises again! Why is it that those oppressors and their resident head scratching field/house negros fear the thought of Brother Minister Louis Farrakhan so much? They speak of his comment about Judaism being a gutter religion, well if you would listen to the total oratory and not a mere soundbite, you would understand the context in which he made the remark, which made sense to me completely. But if he is such a hateful individual, then shouldn’t he have built a reputation that speaks for itself after damn near 60 years in the public eye? How can such a “so-called” hateful person be so feared if his words have no substance and are based in shallow hateful sound bites? The truth and the fact of the matter is that Minister Farrakhan is a free Black man who doesn’t have to kiss anyone’s boots to live well. “Certain” individuals find this unacceptable for a Black man to be in this position. His example is a guiding light to many people of color who have come to understand that this present system of education, government and even religion have not serve their best interests and have actually served the interests of those who care not about us as a people until it is time to gain a vote when they come to our Houses of Worship, making a very high profile cameo appearance to hug us in the pulpit to sing “Kumbaya”, methodically screwing us over for another four years.
Business as usual as always.
Well, when Hillary Clinton demanded that Senator Barack Obama reject Brother Farrakhan, it put him in a very testy position. Those of us in the Black community were not mad at him for “playing the political game” in saying that he “renounced and rejected” the support and words of the Nation Of Islam and Louis Farrakhan. How can Barack Obama be a Black man in this country and not feel the truth of his words? When this trick didn’t back him into a corner, they dug up the words of his Pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Well tell me this; what did his Pastor say that was so wrong? It was all nothing but the truth! He stated facts and he did it in a way where white amerikkka did not like or approve. Well to HELL with what they approve off! The day of going to your slave master for approval is all over! This is the 21st. century and we need to get with the program of unity and independence to build a nation of our own within the nation we are in! Whether you want to face it or not, it’s about separation or death. Which one will you chose?
When Hillary demanded that Brother Barack “reject” Farrakhan, a man who at the time of this writing was married FAITHFULLY’ to his wife for 53 years, she must have forgotten that she didn’t move her hypocritical mouth to say a damn thing to her cheating husband Bill Clinton when he was getting those sweet blowjobs from Monica Lewinsky in the Oral Office….. AHEM! ....I mean Oval Office! But she knew she had her political plans down the road so she shut her trap being the power & status whore that she is! Why didn’t she renounce and reject Bill Clinton's actions? She played the game ‘cause she knew what her presidential aspirations were! And that’s all it is to her now!.........A damn game! Yet they are making such a fuss about Barack Obama's associations, but look how Hillary has run her race by the race baiting tactics.
But maybe slick Willy Clinton should have embraced the teachings of the Farrakhan. Farrakhan also respects the divine sanctity of womanhood, is this an evil man? Farrakhan also believes in obeying the law as long as it doesn’t cross what God says, does that sound like someone with a sinister agenda? He believes in keeping a healthy body by putting in the proper nourishment that the creator meant for us to consume other than the devalued poison that these greed filled corporations put out on the shelves for us to slowly kill ourselves, is this divisive teaching? Let me tell you, what they are afraid of is that we will ALL strive to become better Black men similar to the example of Minister Farrakhan of which there are many examples of unsung heroes in our communities that will never be featured in the media because it doesn’t fit their propaganda to demonize anything positive that a Black man brings to the world! This is why the image of Barack Obama is unacceptable to the shadow manipulators/powerbrokers of the world….his very presence negates the well hidden mission statement that is commited to smearing a faction of the community (Young Black Men) and the usual stories on the nightly news of a Black "beast" of a criminal who has raped, robbed or carjacked some innocent citizen.
Not to go too far off topic, I have to say that when we have this type of madness transpiring within the Black inner cities, it is usually because of some type of financial lack and its accompanying stress to produce something from nothing at the root of it. With all of the tensions that we have on us as Black people living day to day, we are not known as a norm to pick up a gun and shoot up colleges, places of employment (even after we get fired! LOL!) ….like those kids in the affluent parts of this country who yearn for nothing on a materialistic level!
But as long as we stay divided and are killing each other in our own neighborhoods, Hillary Clinton will NEVER go into the Black neighborhoods (Unless she is whoring for the Black vote!) to encourage us to get together. It’s too much profit in us hating each other, killing each other and eventually getting ourselves locked up! The very healing, enlightening and empowering word that comes from the Ministers mouth is exactly what will bring down the merciless grip that has big corporate/federal/state/local county business getting lucratively fat from our very profitable demise! Renounce and Reject the OPPRESSOR'S tricks with every ounce of strength and breath that God blesses you with! That IS your divine mission……not killing Iraqi’s for the grand satanic plan of the New World Order!

There is an effort to blind everyone in the Black community as to whom our enemy truly is while they covertly profit off of our ignorance and destruction. As time goes on and I get older, I refuse to “sweeten up” and ignore what I see or allow myself to be seduced into a trance like state from the distractions in epidemic proportions that numb us to the “pains” that are killing us in our neighborhoods like a painkiller blocks the distress signals that our brain receives in a time of physical distress. Those distractions are put there to blind us into non productivity. The television set is the number one mind numbing tool, number one because it is placed into your private space voluntarily and it slowly and gently convinces you of a reality that for the most part does not exist. Watch the evening news tonight, read (watch) between the lines, ask yourself who is slanting what truly happened to the cold hard facts. Some poisons can taste real good cloaked in the covering of your favorite candy. Sure, it may begin with a truth, but the manner in which those truths are reported will infuse the viewer, who is unknowing to this mental infiltration with someone else’s opinion of an event far from what that same person would have felt about that situation if their mind wasn’t manipulated with a tampered presentation.
As we are weaned off of the nipple of our mothers, we are introduced gradually to this electronic nipple called television. That narcotic called music. The intoxicant of spiritless religion. The hallucinogen called mass media. Driven by our basic desires for sexual release in these stressful times we run toward it with a sense of urgency. The culinary delights and pleasures of good food are made to be thought of as so very important so we spend so much of our finances in the quest of that never ending orgasmic bite. We crave the ultimate rush to feel as though we can be the conquerors in the almost hopelessly appearing situations in our lives by fantasizing ourselves to be the high paid athletes we worship more than we do the God who gave us life itself. Even wearing the same number jersey as our favorite players, celebrating their existence but forgetting that we too have the power and divine purpose to affect those around us with the imbedded hidden talents that we never take the time to discover and develop. We never take the time to bring them out because we are impregnated with another agenda from an outside force. We no longer have any joy in being ourselves. We work hard to be someone else and match those standards set by the enemy who controls the media so we can never be a threat to that entity who has us blind. We walk right into the trap and he is laughing all the way to the bank!
Let us now talk about this sketch above. I do not hate our young men who dress in this fashion; I want to help them open their eyes. We mark ourselves to our oppressor by how we cover ourselves. The enemy knows that much positive content or righteous plans to claim back our proper mind could never occupy our brain as long as we possess so much irrelevant action clogging junk in it. Look around in our communities, we fight over differences, minor “little” things that are made to seem important but in reality blind you to the fact that we are all Brothers & Sisters with the SAME Father. Who spreads these differences amongst us? Who would be hurt if we woke up one day and stop killing each other, raping our Beautiful Black Sisters and stealing from our institutions. What value is it to mug and elderly lady on her way walking home from the market for a few dollars that will quickly diminish and damn you to depths of hellfire after you steal it from her when you can just as easily walk alongside her, help her with her bags while she willingly shares a wisdom that was learned over many decades that will add value a well as quality to your life and guide you to that warm feeling of inner satisfaction of knowing that you are Heaven bound? You have been deceived indeed. Satan puts thoughts into your head via the internet or television. These videos contain members of the opposite sex that drive us to record levels of lust that have never been documented in history including the era of Sodom and Gomorrah! We have these thoughts in our head as we go out into the world and look upon a woman who may burn with the same hidden urge. Sex transpires unprotected almost immediately and a disease is passed. High level drug companies are waiting for you to capitalize on your lack of good judgment. Our frustrations to have MORE possessions overshadows the righteous need to seek more WISDOM and there is plenty proof of this fact with the well dressed idiots who drive nice cars, flash lots of money and cannot verbally string together a sentence that makes any sense what so ever…..forget about writing something that makes sense!
Am I putting you down Brothers & Sisters? NO! We need to get on point and stop these crimes and violent reactions that are based and manifested from our frustrations to BE all that God made us to be. You know you could never be a world class athlete eating the wrong foods, so why do you think you can be at your best absorbing the wrong foods into your mind, body and soul? Get locked up and find out how many people will pimp you. The Bail Bondsman get paid ‘cause now you need them to MAKE Bail for a crime that was usually avoidable. You shouldn’t have purchased that cheap liquor that had you acting out of your mind in the first place. The liquor store owner is home asleep on the luxurious side of town while you are somewhere that you didn’t intend to be when you woke up that morning. The jail makes money off of you ‘cause the officers get paid to watch you, feed you, harass you and beat your ass when no one is looking. The cops love a good arrest when they need the overtime and they make sure the nurses in the jail get plenty paid ‘cause they will leave you bruised up and hide the abuse with a well written report. You get out of prison with a record and diminished chances of reentering society especially if you do not have family support. I could go one and on with this for ten pages and you know what? Those who profit happily watch the cycle over and over as they make their endless trips to the bank with a BIG smile on their faces. The Ku Klux Klan doesn’t have to kill us off anymore with their hands, we are doing a good enough job ourselves as we chant to the world: “The white man is keeping me down and stopping me!” No man can stop God! When you cater to the GOD that dwells within you, and connect with the divine spirituality that comes when you wipe the mass media crud out of your “third eye”, you will be UNSTOPABLE! They know this, this is why so much advertising is done in our communities to KEEP control over our greatest asset: OUR MINDS! THINK ABOUT IT! |

When Barack Obama was IN the streets, OUR streets that WE walk through everyday doing community work amongst HIS people, what was BET founder Bob Johnson doing? BET now understood & revealed by the masses as Black Enslavement Television, was and IS to this day displaying our women as whores and our men as thugs! The secret societies that are covertly behind EVERYTHING that blinds us in this world and keeps us oppressed will always keep a Bob Johnson rich because he provides the medium to continuing the work of keeping us dumb and stimulated. Content in our ignorance is more like it, but nonetheless, it reveals a trait and term that is well know in the African-American community…..CRABS-IN-A-BARREL! I know YOU know what I am talking about indeed, but for those who don’t here is a brief explanation: When you have a barrel full of crabs, every crab eventually gets in a position to get OUT of the barrel, when this is the case, the crab that almost gets out is always pulled back down by the other crabs because they too desire to get out but at any expense….even if it is at the expense of their almost free fellow barrel mate.
This thoroughly explains the behavior of Bob Johnson. Let me say this and let me say it clearly, that I respect anyone’s right to endorse and support the candidate that they feel possesses the best attributes to execute the duties of being the President of the United States. But what I won’t respect is a supposedly wise man (He may be a Crab-Like Uncle Tom Opportunistic Whore who has Prostituted & Misrepresented an entire Culture through a false ghettofied representation of Black people in the media, but he damn sure ain't dumb!) who bashes another man about things in his past that he so courageously shared with the world.
Now to take it a step further, Bob Johnson HAD to go through hell because of the color of his skin at some point in his ascension and rise in corporate amerikkka, so why would he want to duplicate the obstacles that he once faced to a man who is sincerely striving to make history and bring a fresh perspective to the perceived grimy old caucasion racist secret society corporate shysters in Washington? Is it because unlike Obama who comes to the world AS a Strong Intelligent Concious Aware MAN, evidently had to tap dance, grin & skin, scratch where he don't itch his way up the ladder while depending on the good graces of his slave master to toss him a few coins of approval in his tin cup? Good little nigga you are Bobby Boy! You don't threaten our stronghold and rule on the Black world because you are leading your youngsters to a mental & physical slaughter tittilating them into unprotected sex and violence through your music videos! And don't anyone here even move there mouth to say that there are enough condom ads on BET to educate our young to make sensible choices, hell, notice that these videos always come on around the time that most latchkey kids come home from school. Ain't NO (Excuse the ebonics Bob!) kid gonna have the sensibilities to refuse the pleasure of oral sex and the eventual bliss of intercourse after watching those videos and having the chance for "a little fun". So if Barack DID experiment with a little coke, weed & alcohol....did his private actions lead millions to risk their lifes with risky sex and violent aggressive behavior? Now we as adults can hardly handle the lure of sexuality smashed in our faces in these videos.
Television ain't what it use to be. But what if we called that arrogant bastard to task?
He is directly responsible for BET being used as a tool for the dumbing down of amerikkka and as a tool of destruction to losing ground in what others have worked so hard and lost their lives to spark motivation in our youth with different programs and freedoms. But now our children rush home to throw down their school books and click on the television mindlessly watching the same old filth and absorbing this into their subconscious minds more so than the lessons they need to be studying in school! Ain’t that a shame?
Remember way back when a program that might have had a mere “curse” in it came on very late at night and was prefaced with the message: “Due to mature subject matter, parental discretion is advised”….Remember that? And we would stay up late and sneak to see what it was all about? All day in school the next day we would speak on it in whispers...."Did you hear them curse last night? They said B-I-T-C-H! Now you can hear all the profanity and the perverse sexuality that your little heart desires. Now our kids don't want to watch television when there ARE no curses in a program! Is Bob Johnson proud of this legacy? Maybe it is Barack Obama who should publicly expose Mr. Johnson for who and what he is. But Brother Barack has more class than that, because he knows that Black people these days are smarter than we get credit for and Bob Johnson did quite a great job of showing the world the content of his character and who and what he is! Isn’t it funny how in amerikkkan culture they build their celebrities & sports figures up only to eventually take extreme pleasure in bringing them down? This is not relegated to any one group per se’, as we see this with their celebrities in the form of Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan etc., but when dealing with the Black athlete it is done with an extra measure of venom. Whether it be Mike Tyson, O.J. Simpson, Michael Vick or Barry Bonds, white amerikkka always holds a special venom for us above and beyond. Remember when Mike Tyson was amerikkka’s darling? Tons of endorsements, guest appearances even on the most non black of media venues! He was the hero who to them was their Frankenstein monster, the soft spoken gentle giant/dark destroyer who satisfied the oppressors need to have a programmable big Black Buck of servitude who in exchange would be happy to receive the adulation and approval of the white masses…..just don’t question the corporate motives of those who make a ton of money off of your Black hide. Just don’t concern yourself with issues outside of what we deem to be your boundaries. Do as we say and the crumbs we allow you to have will be sufficient. When his life began to take a turn from the fairy tale ending, white amerikkka disowned him, the street thug past that they knew of so well was thrown in his face. When his trainer Cus D’Amato adopted him, it was only for his own motivations of greed to have another champion and to thumb his nose at the boxing establishment that had him blackballed, shut out and rejected before his life came to a close, not because he cared so much about this young Black male. If he did, he would have taught him accountability for his actions instead of paying off establishments and individuals as he learned the fundamentals of fighting.
But aside from the occasional white hope, boxing has always been viewed as a Black man’s sport. The prize fighter’s ring is a place where we can display our brutality to the fascination of those who fear it the most up close and personal. So it serves its purpose as a substitute to the time when the white slave masters took pride in having the baddest nigger in the state…..yet when Michael Vick was connected to the dogfighting scandal it was presented as a national tragedy! But I truly say that if Micheal Vick was trained by the armed forces of the united snakes of amerikkka to kill as many Iraqis as he possibly could, he would be lauded as a national hero! Amerikkka loves their killers, which is why they also love their dogs; they both have the same meat eating violent warlike territorial nature! Have we forgotten who they would turn on us during the civil rights movement? So go figure….the thinking of those in power in this country is as twisted as one could get!
That brings me to Barry Bonds. So many others who have obviously and admittedly taken anabolic steroids didn’t get the storm of controversy swirling around their every move like Barry Bonds has and continue to receive. This is because the institution of baseball is subconsciously viewed as an exclusively white good ole boys club. Even though so many Black, Latino and now men of the Orient are staking their claim as the greatest players of the day, but deep down to the powers that be, we are to feel this is a privilege to play in this exclusive domain. But wasn’t it like this back in the day of the Negro League? Amerikkka didn’t allow Blacks to play in the white leagues until about 1948/49 when Negro League players were allowed to play alongside their white counterparts. So many fans of baseball missed out on some of the greatest talent walking the face of the earth! Men like Satchel Paige, Smokey Joe Williams, Bullet Rogan, Biz Mackey, Bingo DeMoss…….the list can go on and on forever! Run a Google search on these men and learn your history! But do our youth or even us adults know these facts? They won't teach you this in their schools of indoctrination! These men would have run circles around the so called mainstream players of their day. And the white powers that be knew this! So when they say now the Barry Bonds record should have an asterisk next to it because he achieved it unfairly, then dig up the record books an put an asterisk next to any white player who has a record attained during the time of the Negro League. And if truth be told, that would be EVERY single last professional baseball player before 1949!
And to add fuel to the fire, what if Barry Bonds DID take steroids? It is only leveling the playing field in baseball anyway. Now I am not condoning anyone to use any performance enhancing substances but if it gave him so much of an advantage, it would have given the others an advantage too now wouldn’t it? But did it give the other players the God given hand/eye coordination? Does it give a non motivated player a tremendous work ethic and focus? If steroids are so good then why isn’t everyone hitting the ball out of the park at every opportunity? It’s because to manifest the dormant greatness lurking within, it takes a lot more than steroids! But the funny part about the thinking of the caucasion powers that be is that they will scorn a Black man for beating a cherished record in their sport, (Can you remember the death threats that Hank Aaron received when he approached Babe Ruth’s record, did Hank Aaron take drugs to do this too?) then turn around, run home and watch this fake behind choreographed wrestling, cheering on men who possess truly chemically enhanced physiques and the women who are cosmetically butchered from surgery! Does Barry Bonds look like the type to go home and strangle his wife and suffocate his child in a chemically driven steroid depression/rage as in the Chris Benoit tragedy? But no, they are going after Barry Bonds because they FEEL he is taking drugs but they don’t rip apart an entire industry that has a lure based on the superficial such as in wrestling! The ONLY thing Barry is guilty of killing is the myth of white supremacy! If Barry ever was guilty of using performance drugs he has only made his oppressor mad because their ONLY hope of having an edge on a dominant Black man in the sport of baseball was just taken away! As I said before in the title of my illustration: Racism: THE ULTIMATE STEROID!

"The House Of Secrets" “In This House Denials Lurk, Dysfunctions Fester, Yet Everyone Knows Their Place! Do You Live There?” What do you think I meant by that? Many of you might have a small hint but here it is; I’ve titled this sketch “The House Of Secrets” because I have found that most families have some secret/secrets that have affected every family member’s growth and development.
These hidden truths that most refuse to face within the family unit can even cripple one for life well after the issue appears to have dissipated into a non-issue. The child or adult now has to carry an invisible burden feeling that no one will understand or relate to the pain contained within. This makes the world potentially a very frightening place. If it is not dealt with in an effective professional manner, this will taint their personal/business relationships for life and cause strife on an innocent unaware individual who just wants to relate normally with this person who possesses these toxicities.
Imagine a stray dog that had a broken leg and no caregiver to help their leg to heal back properly. This dog learns to limp its way around town in pain until the bone in the leg heals up the best way it could under the circumstances. Usually, the bone heals back out of place and crooked, but our dog learns to walk on its newly healed leg and in time it becomes quite normal to walk this way and in this state.
Most of us have some issue that has us emotionally/mentally/spiritually broken and if not dealt with we learn to manage our issue the best way we can. Usually, we learn to walk with ourselves like the dog in a state of being out of place or crooked. In time our ignored “swept under the rug” toxic issues become quite normal as we accept our sick state of existence as being normalcy.
The origins could have been a molestation by a beloved uncle who appears by most of the family to be so far away from doing such a thing, that you are looked at as being the troublemaker who is upsetting the applecart of peace by bringing his late night crimes that were committed in your bedroom under his care many years ago out into the open. This is just but one example but there are many. Have you ever experienced the family member (Usually a mother who has the highest expectations for a wayward child who has absolutely no ambition except to keep selling that mother the dream of a lie to enable them to live for free (Freeloading, sponging or bumming) without working or contributing!) If you ask this particular mother how the child is doing, they will always tell you that there sibling is “doing fine” and aspiring to some great goal that does not really match up to what the reality is. But if truth be told you may have seen that same person exiting the crack house or heard about their street hustles and behavior.
But what happens when you are forced to relate to someone (On a job, in a relationship or other family members etc.) who just won’t accept you in your broken state? Do you banish them (Refuse to communicate or conjure up an imaginary reason to cause a divide) for giving you a peek into a part of your soul that you have refused to acknowledge for your entire life? Or do you attempt to make THEM feel (Turn the tables by putting the problem on them) as though THEY have an issue because THEY appear abnormal in your normal eyes? Isn’t it interesting how many of us can view the same object, situation or issue so completely different? Living life in this manner is comparable to running a sprint with a 50 pound weight on our backs….do we really feel as though we are operating up to our fullest potential? Those of us who are in this state really do know that we are messed up. This is why we avoid the life situations that would reveal to us and the world what truly lurks within the darkest and most hidden corners of our troubled souls. This is why we only seek out others who are just as twisted as we are, we only feel comfortable with those we feel are just as downtrodden in the areas we know to be our weakest. How do the winos (drunks) find each other to be able to congregate on the corners everyday at the same time. KINDRED SPIRITS! They have a way of just knowing……
So when you discover an individual has this unfinished personal business in their lives, surely you will find others who are in the same state of mind in their inner circle. Just observe, and after a time it will all make sense and fall into place. The gentleman in the sketch above felt as though he had such a wonderful relationship….one built on trust and honesty, until he happily came home one afternoon to find out otherwise. Skeletons in the closet….these skeletons don’t represent actual skeletons (Let us hope not, but after watching the news lately with all of these strange crimes out there, actual skeletons might just BE an appropriate representation in some cases!), they represent the hidden issues in our lives, the things that we just can’t bring ourselves to reveal to our closest loved ones. Now, you may not want to tell everyone every sordid detail of your sex life, but there are some things that need to be shared.
In this sketch this woman was caught with her demons expose because her husband arrived home early from work. What a predicament to find yourself in? In actuality those skulls may be the crackpipe, those skulls might be an adulterous affair, or they might be a gambling problem or inability to handle money properly. Those skulls may not always be so obvious on the surface, it may be a smiling face that covers deception in the heart….envy, an unforgiving spirit, hate, laziness or a gossiping mouth. It could any one thing or a combination of many! We all should look deep within ourselves in quiet meditation to unearth what may exist below the surface of our public persona and get to the real hidden garbage that might be the very thing that blocks our blessings and keeps us from enjoying the gift of life 100%! |

"Helping Our Black Youth To Slip Further Into Darkness"
I kind of fell into the idea for this illustration after overhearing a conversation between two women who were friends while in the line of the local Sam’s Club one afternoon. It was one of those exchanges that you couldn’t help but want to jump into but wouldn’t because of not wanting to appear rude, intrusive or forward. So I just enjoyed the knowledge and insight that was so abundantly shared through the magic of eavesdropping. I couldn’t help the selfish indulgence but it was so juicy. They spoke on how the public school system was tainted in a way where administration really did not care about the well being of its students beyond the profits that could be generated for them. Profits? One of the young ladies said how terrible it was that young children were railroaded into being labeled as problem children unnecessarily when their issue might have been one that was dietary or maybe stemmed from a problem that wasn’t being addressed at home by the parents or guardians. Maybe they were wrong (I don’t know, maybe someone can contact me to learn more about this!) but they seemed to be on to something. They said that when a child is labeled a certain way, they may be prescribed Ritalin to “take care” of their hyperactive troubled and so called disruptive nature. They alleged when this is done that the schools receive more government funding and the drug companies turn a higher profit on masse because the teachers and counselors are encouraged to shuttle these poor kids down this route.
Perhaps these same difficult children need a type of professional help that they are not getting at school. Every child may not have the most wholesome of situations to go home to. On a parental level many parents (not all!) are not much more than children themselves and many do not even know how to provide a nurturing environment where youngsters can thrive emotionally, academically and spiritually. What may appear to be a problem child just might be a genius crying out for help in an unorthodox manner. With most of these issues I feel all that is needed is a little love and time spent to investigate the individual challenges that these kids have to endure long before they even step into the schoolhouse. Some are hungry. Some have to observe all types of things that there young minds are not equipped to deal with. What about the abuse? Neglect? There are so many possibilities that must be explored before you begin to cop out and medicate them just to have them sleepwalk through your classroom and pass the problem along to someone else a grade higher (If they are lucky to graduate at all!)
In the sketch I have the school principal asking a graduate what he wants to be when he grows up, yet, in the principals thoughts, he already feels he knows the answer already. The thought bubble contains a visual of that same child decades from now all grown up as an inmate in a prison cell. Isn’t it sad that many of the same educators that we trust our children with think of our offspring in such a doomed manner? “They’re all animals and thugs; it’s just a matter of time before they start to become a menace to society!” If they feel it is our manifest destiny to become the worst of society, then how hard can they be trying to turn around a situation in a child’s life that is salvageable? How strong can the psyche of a young Black child be made in an oppressive world when he is taught nothing of his contributions in history (Which are vast and more than most would have you think!) If one does not see his/herself in history than one cannot see themselves in the future and therefore feel no obligation to positively utilize the precious time called the present. How can you expect a top of the line sports car to operate at the highest standards when you put sugar in the gas tank? How can we excel as a people when the very seeds planted into our youth are nothing more than to be hookers, hoes, thugs and useless consumers of products that others produce for us at a high profit? We are indeed in trouble if those of us who can see the light do not take immediate action to halt an out of control runaway train of a situation called Black youth under our collective wings to do the divine work that God has planned for us!

McGhettoz. I thought this name would be so appropriate because of what I see when I look around in the Black inner cities across the country. Sure, fast food may be great corporate business for those who profit from our ignorance, but in the end, it’s not good for those of us who do not have the sense to understand that this type of food (If you can call it that!) is killing us slowly and in not our best interest to consume. Our children arrive freshly out of the womb and in no time they know who Ronald McDonald is before they know anything of their own culture! Their minds are relentlessly pursued and eventually programmed by the mass media campaigns of those “death food” merchants competing for complete dominance over your children’s taste buds. You see those “Golden Arches” ( I’m just picking on McDonalds, but it’s also pus pits like Burger King , Popeye’s, Wendy’s, KFC, White Castle, Checkers or Crystals etc.) and your mouth starts to salivate, like a trained monkey! Half of the time you are not even hungry or even are in need of any nutrition. The sad part that if you were in need of any essential nutrients, that garbage that you are addicted to could only be used as embalming fluid at the local mortician. And we wonder why we look the way we do….go to any mall and watch our young girls who stuff themselves into clothes too tight thinking they are attractive with the exposed cellulite and the guts overhanging and jiggling.
I know it's hard to face these things but we as Black people are out of our minds to accept this as normalcy. I know many of you won’t like me anymore for saying these things, but as an artist I have to illustrate what I see truthfully. We are eating ourselves into poor health and are not living the full life that God has intended us to live. To be sick is abnormal. That is a fact. We are not supposed to expire from disease; we are simply designed to “expire”. Old age. That’s it. But because we are putting devalued “stripped out” food into our vessels, we set our selves up for diseases to come in. And with food that is not designed for us to live a strong vibrant life, we can’t function to the fullest. Remember as a child when you could effortlessly run all day and night without even thinking of fatigue. Your system was new, your internal organs were fresh. Why is it that a mere twenty years can pass and you feel so many aches and pains and your enthusiasm to move about the earth is quelled? It’s because of a disobedience to the laws of how our bodies function. The answer is not in a pill that we ingest or a cream that we can apply to our skin. There is a way to have superior health and drop dead gorgeous looks well into ripe old ages but there are rules to this thing….and it ain’t coming from a meal at McGhettoz!
It cracks me up when I am in my car waiting for the red light to change and here comes some clown driving up next to me in a new car with more pork fat on the back of his neck than the floor of the local butcher shop right before the Labor Day weekend cookouts. Homeboy was sitting in a automobile that resembles a spaceship unlike the new car that he drove off with from the showroom floor days earlier. He was looking at me as though I was inferior to him ‘cause I was in a plain older vehicle. The point is that some of us will honor, worship and adore our cars more than we will our divine physical bodies to which there is no replacement. You see, we can always pick up a new alternator when the one we have goes bad, but what do you do when you pancreas begins to malfunction? Your heart. Your lungs. Dammit…..your brain! Can you pick those up just a fast at the local bodypart joint? You are rollin’ on twenty sixes ( Those ridiculously huge rims and tires you see on the corporate rap videos.) but can’t have the presence of mind to take that same rim money and purchase the health insurance that you will need in case you have to pay to take your Big Mac engorged carcass to the hospital when you get those unwelcome but well earned chest pains in the middle of the night! (Remember that cold hamburger and fries you ate the other night before you went to bed that you knew you shouldn’t have eaten?) We were never taught the proper way to eat in these schools of indoctrination because most of the time we are reared on junk food for lunch that is served right in the school from when we were young. We don’t concern ourselves or even know about getting the right amount of protein, complex unrefined carbohydrates and essential fats and clean fresh water.
For the most part when most people get hungry, they just say “Let’s get something to eat!” ….and what are the choices usually? Burgers, pizza, Chinese food, fried fish or chicken. This is the limited variety that you think you can flourish on? Yet and still when the prospect of going on a detoxification diet consisting mostly of fresh fruits and vegetables is brought up, you get mad and mention that you need variety! Imagine that! There are limitless varieties of nutrient packed and delicious foods from nature that one could enjoy if you only knew how to prepare them or were even exposed to them in the first place. But you don’t know a damn thing except a happy meal. It’s sad. Why do you think we have 24 hour drug stores like “CVS” or “Walgreens” open all night long? We should be in such good health that it would force them to close because not one of them could make a sale after midnight. There is a law of cause and effect.and we as Black people, need to proactively take charge of what we consume and stop being played by the corporate food thug companies who have brainwashed us out of the true God given way to keep ourselves on point physically. They don’t teach you truth in school but will they teach you this in church? Or is the pastor afraid to insult that 300 pound potatoe salad eating church lady who pays triple tithes, donates a huge offering and gives the most to the church building fund every week? I think not. The knowledge is out here to gain but it’s up to us to refuse to continue to be food junkies and detox from your oppressors evil and very profitable plans on your health. Can I get an amen?
